Our Specialties
SHINGLE
A roof covering consisting of individual flat, rectangular shapes laid in courses from the bottom edge of the roof up, with each overlapping the other. Made of various materials such as wood, slate, flagstone, metal, plastic, and composite materials such as fibre cement and asphalt. Shingle roofs tend to deteriorate faster because they need to repel more water than wall shingles. They are a very common roofing material in North America.
TORCH ON ROOFING
Consists of two layers of modified asphalt usually melted together by a torch. Creates a roof that is resistant to ultraviolet light and a waterproof barrier, ideal for Vancouver’s wet season. Used for flats roofs where snow or rain can easily collect and sit for long periods of time.
CEDAR
Blocks of cedar nailed into the bedding of the roof. Cedar provides a higher return on investment because of its durability and beauty, however, the owner must keep in mind that it requires regular maintenance as you want to prevent moss, mould and mildew growth.
EPDM
A type of synthetic rubber widely used in sloped buildings across North America, EPDM is extremely durable. It’s two ingredients, ethylene and propylene, are derived from oil and natural gas. Offered in black and white.
TPO
TPO, known as Thermoplastic Polyolefin is a single-ply reflective roofing membrane made from polypropylene and ethylene-propylene rubber polymerized together. Highly attractive in cold weather. Reflects UV lights and keeps the surface cool during hot days, helping reduce the amount of carbon emissions and cooling costs. Eco-friendly.
